What’s covered
- Theft, inside your home and out of it
- Fire and smoke damage
- Water damage from burst pipes or a leaking upstairs neighbor
- Vandalism and break-in damage to the unit
- A hotel and meals if your place becomes unlivable
- Someone getting hurt in your home and suing you
- Damage you accidentally cause to someone else's property
What’s not
- Flood and earthquake — those need separate policies
- Your roommate's belongings, unless they're on your policy
- Wear, tear, and things that simply broke from age
- Damage from pests, mold, or long-term neglect
- Equipment and inventory for a business you run from home
- Your car and anything bolted into it — that's a car policy
What a real claim looks like
A bike goes missing from a rack outside a coffee shop on a Tuesday evening.

You open the app
Tap Claim, pick the bike from your covered items. No claim number, no call center queue.

You record 30 seconds
Say what happened in your own words. That's the claim form — there isn't another one.

The AI reviews it
It checks your policy, the item, the location, and runs the anti-fraud model.

Replacement value lands in your account, minus your deductible. Go get a new bike.

Renters questions, answered
Is my stuff covered outside my apartment?
Yes. Renters insurance follows your belongings, not your address. If your laptop is stolen from a café in another country, it's the same claim as if it went missing from your kitchen table.
Doesn't my landlord's insurance cover me?
No, and this is the single most common misunderstanding in renting. Your landlord insures the building — the walls, roof, and pipes. Nothing they own covers a single thing you own, and their policy will not pay for a hotel if the building becomes unlivable.
What about my roommate's things?
They aren't covered by your policy. Roommates need their own — which is genuinely cheaper than splitting one, because each of you gets a full set of limits instead of sharing.
What's a deductible, in plain English?
The amount you cover yourself before we pay. Pick a higher deductible and your monthly price drops; pick a lower one and you pay more each month but less at claim time. You can change it whenever you like.
Will claiming push my price up?
One claim usually won't. A pattern of them can, the same as anywhere. We tell you what a claim will do to your renewal before you file it, which is not something the industry is known for.
